Almost Half Term!

This week has really flown by!!!

Maybe it's nice to briefly summarize what my routines are. Everyday is different, but there are standard things. Enjoy reading!

Everyday (Monday - Friday) my alarm is beeping at 6:20 am.

Downstairs around 6:45 am.

First of all, I let Foxie out of her bench and give her breakfast.

Secondly, I empty the dishwasher, set the table for the children, making the lunchpackages and make sure I have the medicines ready for Bubs. She has a sour tummy so she needs to take 4 pills and a special juice. Every morning 2 pills and after school by tea time the other 2 pills. Everyweek she change her pills. This is very important.

Around 7:00 am - 7:15 am Monkey is coming downstairs. If he is not downstairs around that time I wake him up. He can be very slow in the mornings.

His pick-up time is between 7:45 am and 8:00 am. Monkey has 40 minutes to eat his breakfast, get dressed, brush his teeth, and hair, wash his face and finish his homework.

Quiet busy. The girls have more time. They are downstairs around 7:20 am mostly. They have extra 30 minutes for their homework. We are doing a lot of Timetables, reading and a special programm on the computer. They can practise their Math and Spelling in a game.

Off to school! I bring the girls on Mondays and Tuesdays. We leave the house around 8:45 am. On mondays I take Foxie with me. I throw some balls for her at the green. Because I follow English Classes, I can't take her for a walk before noon.

Pick-up after school depends everyday. Sometimes the girls have a club after school. Monkey is coming back by friends or the hostparents.

Once their are back in the house I make sure supper is ready. They have supper between 5:00 pm and 5:15 pm. Then they have a short time to play outside/ or doing something inside. Having a bath around 6:30 pm, and then they can watch T.V. Off to bed between 7:00pm and 7:30pm. In the weekends this is around 8:00 pm. Brushing their teeths and reading a bedtimestorie. Goodnight!!

Monday!

Standard morning routine. After I dropped the girls at school, I went to my English classes. Afterwards going back and have a run with Foxie. Had the keydisaster again...

Every monday there is a woman in the house. She cleans the whole house. So I decided to go for a run but didn't think about the keys for a minute... I totally got lost of time and when I came back she was already heading home :(

Once back, I called her and she came back for me and open the door. So stupid.

I found out if this happen again, I can climb on the roof and go through the window. It's not ideal but it's something! Hahaha. The roof is lower at one side.

The girls have swimming class after school, so they came back around 5pm. Monkey came back at 6pm. He makes very long days at school. After supper we played a game outside. It's called Rounders. You can compare it with the dutch ''Slagbal'', but then with a bat.

We had a lots of fun.

Afterwards in bath, watching T.V. and a bedtimestory.

Tuesday!

Normal day. Nothing special. Picking the girls up after school around 4:30pm. They have a special club at school. It's called Keep Fit. It's like gym classes at school in the Netherlands but specialized in the English Cricket.

I went to the swimming pool myself this day. Swimming Lengths.

Around 6pm the girls having Cricket. Afterwards the routine and time for bed.

Wednesday!

Busy day! From the school to the English Classes. Afterwards a run with Foxie.

Back at the house again preparing supper. Preparing supper for 5 children instead of 3. A friend of Monkey is coming after school and a friend of the girls as well. Collect the girls at 3:30 pm from school, and bring them to the tennis court. First Bundle has tennis lessons. Afterwards Bubs, in the time that Bubs have tennis lessons Bundle needs to go to piano lessons. Having supper outside with all of the children. The weather is very nice this week!

Once the children are sleeping and the Host Parents are back, I went with one of the other Au Pairs to the Mac Donalds. It was her Birthday and we enjoyed our Mc Flurry's!! In the UK they have a Oreo One!!!! 😍 😍 😍

Thursday!

Nothing special. Normal day again. Afterschool the girls having Keep Fit and Cooking. Monkey has Cricket. He plays 2 hours of Cricket. He really loves it.

Time for bed!

I went this day to the house from one of the other Au Pairs. She is French. Her Host Family have a really big and lovely house. They have also a heated swimming pool in the garden. So I went for a swim. It was so relaxed.

Friday!

Busy againg. In the morning I went for a run with the German Au Pair. Around tea time we had a BBQ with 6 other childrens. So their were 9 children and 3 parents. We really enjoyed it. Around 20:30 pm I went for supper to a pub with the other Au Pairs. I was so hungry. Because I was working at the BBQ I didn't eat anything. But I was nice to catch up with the parents and the children. Learned how to through a ball in the Cricket Style.

And now? Half term. The family are on holiday for a week. They left this morning to Mallorca.

I have a chill week now. Planned a lot of fun trips with the other Au Pairs. Tonight we have supper at my place and going to celebrate the birthday from the German Girl!!
