Already one week ago that I posted something…

The days are full and busy. So here my story about last weekend :

First Weekend in the UK!

Saturday!

Let´s get the weekend started with a morning run.

About noon visit the town centre for a coffee with the other Au Pairs.

The rest of the day doing some laundry and get some sleep.

In the evening time for supper with the children. Pizza Saturday :)

Furthermore watched after the children. The Host Parents went to a party.

Sunday!

Bristol on the planning.

I would be picked up at 9AM, but the car is broken.

From here to Bristol takes 1,5 hours by car.

So we decided to take my car. My first long drive on the left-side, and the Highway.

Insert at the right is a little bit dificult. But I really enjoyed driving.

We were with four in total. I went with three girls. There are from Italy, and Au Pair as well.

We did a lot :

- Visiting the Cathredal

- Went to the Clifton Bridge

- Saw the colourfull houses

- Visiting a Museum (M Shred)

- A walk through the Harbour

- Had some dinner at the pub back in the town centre.

The city has an old town and a famous university. The Clifton Suspension Bridge has a Commemorative Plate at the viewpoint. The Clifton Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the kloofdal of the Avon in Bristol. It was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, but the construction was only completed in 1864, after his death. The bridge is considered the hallmark of the city and is meanwhile protected as a monument. The Cahtredal we had visit (Anglican Cathedral of Bristol) was built in 1140 and belonged then to the Abdelaziz monastery.

A good first weekend here!

Lots of Love,
