Off we go

Easter Monday,

Leaving Amsterdam Schiphol Airport at 10:00 AM.

Arriving Southampton Airport at 11:45 AM. (local time)

I was excited and nervous at the same time. I wanted to give a good first impression.

I will be responsible for 3 children. (using nicknames for the privacy)

The boy ''Monkey'' is 8 years old. The girls ''Bundle and Bubs'' are 6 and 5 years old.

The hostdad and Bundle have picked me up from the Airport. It was very lovely.

After that we collect Monkey and Bubs at Grannies.

Due to the good weather we enjoyed the lunch in the garden. Playing with the children and dog as well. Furthermore walk the dog and making some supper for the children.

In between unpacked my suitcase. A good and full day! Time for bed!

Tuesday!

Getting up early. Having breakfast with the children and help them in the uniforms. Doing the schoolrounds together with the Host mum.

Bringing Monkey to a sportcamp. He has still vacation. Monkey is going back to school on Thursday. He is going to another school then the girls.

First time driving on the left side of the road. As you drive left now you have the steering wheel on the right side. I am not used to it. It was very exciting anyway. The roads are very narrow and people drive hard. I love sweating… not!

Dentist appointment with the whole family and also going to let Monkeys hair cut. Buying cricketshoes and off we go home.

Playing football with Bundle and Monkey in the evening.

Furthermore in the evening, I have had my first Au Pair Supper. It was really nice to get to know other Au Pairs.

Wednesday!

Walking 1 hour and a half with the dog. Driving by myself to the city centre. Signed up for extra English lesson. Made dinner and have dinner with the children.

Build a helicopter with Monkey. Put the children in bath.

A very quiet day.

I am going to try as much as possible to blog, but the days are quiet full.
